For the devoted pilgrims a visit to Mt. Kailash & Lake Mansorovar forms the ultimate realization of their spiritual hobby. And for the adventure-lovers it offers craggy beauty, remoteness and isolation. The tour is visit to Kailash during the annual Buddhist festival of Saga Dawa while most of the other trips are planned to arrive at Mt. Kailash during the full moon period to give all participants a rare experience. A journey truly called `never-to -be-repeated'.

The trip begins from Kathmandu to Nepalganj by schedule flight, after overnight in Nepalgunj next day morning fly to Simikot by Fixed wings. After Simikot, we again make charter helicopter flight to Hilsa and walk to Shera (Nepal -Tibet border) after finis the entry procedure, drive to Taklakot by 4WD Jeep it takes 1 hrs.,then full day rest & overnight. Next day also we should stay there in Taklakot for acclimitization. On 4th day you will transfer to Lake Manasarovar across widely spread open spaces of the Tibetan Plateau. On 7 days tour, trekking is required only during the 3 day Kailash parikrama when one has to cross the 5600 Mtr/ 18,500 ft high Dolma Pass. Then we make our most attractive trip to Mt. Kailash and follow the pathway across huge dry plains for Nepalese border lies to the south. Finally, we take the trip back to Kathmandu as same route. This is truly the trip of a lifetime with stunning scenery and cultural highlights

ITNERARY
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1300m.)
  Arrival in Kathmandu and met by our representative and transfer to Hotel, Evening individual activities, overnight in Hotel
Day 02 : Kathmandu-Nepalgunj
  Morning: after breakfast proceed for Kathmandu holy sites including Pashupatinath , Boudanath and Budanilkantha . Back to hotel for lunch. Afternoon: fly to Nepalgung by flight - 1 hrs. Transfer to Hotel, overnight
Day 03 : NEPALGUNJ – SIMIKOT
  At morning, transfer to the airport and fly to Simikot by fixed wing aircraft.- 1 hr. Receive by our hotel representative in Simikot and rest in hotel.
Day 04 :

SIMIKOT – HILSA & DRIVE TO PURANG (Taklakot – 3400 m.).

  Today early morning take helicopter flight to Hilsa by Helicopter -20 min and short walk to Sher Trek, China immigration -10 min and after immigration drive to Taklakot - 1 hr., overnight in Lodge
Day 05: ACCLIMATIZATION
 

Full day rest in PURANG

Day 06 :

PURANG - LAKE MANSAROVAR (Chiu Gompa – 4550 m.)

 

After breakfast drive to Manasarovar, Today is the important day as you will make parikrama of Lake Manasarovar and do Puja in this holy lake. - The distance of Mansarovar circumambulation is 72 km- The journey takes 3 hours.
Lake Manasarovar (4500m) Lake Manasarovar is regarded as the most holy of all of Tibet 's many lakes. According to Hindu and Buddhist cosmology the four great rivers of the Indian sub-continent, the Brahmaputra, Sutlej, Ganges, and Indus all arise from the lake. It is said that Lord Vishnu floated in it for an eternity, dreaming, until the life force stirred, and out of the water's infinite potential sprang forth all of creation. This day offers a wonderful opportunity to see the great lake Manasarover with mt . Gurula Mandhata (7728m) on south and Holy Kailash on the north. After bath and Puja drive to Tarchen via Chiu monastery and hot spring.

Day 07: DRIVE TO YAM DWAR THEN TREK TO DERAPHUK (4920 m)
  After breakfast, drive to Yama Dwar via Darchen town and start parikrama yatra around Mt. Kailash towards Deraphuk camp. - Lake Mansarovar to Darchen (4664 m  – 40 km – 1 hour 30 minutes)- Darchen to Yam Dwar drive: 45 minutes
- Yam Dwar to Deraphuk trek: 5 to 6 hours
Day 08 : DERAPHUK - DOLMA-LA PASS (5600 m) – GAURI KUNDA – ZUTULPHUK (4780 m).
  Continue parikrama journey passing through Dolma la high pass and Gauri Kunda. Today is the tough day trekking.
Deraphuk to Zutulphuk Gomba – 8 hours
Day 09 : FINISH TREK NEAR DARCHEN THEN DRIVE BACK TO HILSA
  End of trekking day, trek for 3 hours and drive to Taklakot and take lunch then drive to Sher and cross Chinese border to Hilsa. Zutulphuk to trek ending point: 3 hours walk Darchen to Hilsa: 3 hours drive
Day 10 : FLY,  HILSA – SIMIKOT - KATHMANDU
  Early morning helicopter pick you up from Hilsa to Simikot and catch connecting fixed wing aircraft to fly Nepalgunj and then to Kathmandu.- Hilsa to Simikot: 20 minutes flight by Helicopter- Simikot to Nepalgunj: 1 hour by flight, Fly back to Kathmandu -1 hrs.
Day 11 : Final Departure
  AM brekfast, afternoon transfer to airport and departure to your onward destination

  • Note: Sometimes the weather can be bad on the flight route of Nepalgunj to Simikot, at that time we will transfer to Surkhet and Bajura then we will shuttle by Helicopter to Simikot but at that time there will be cost extra  which will be bear by clients directly pay on the Spot.

    What we provide to our clients:

  • Sleeping bag, down Jacket, Gamow bag and Oxygen.
  • We don't charge extra for the parikrama. If you wish to take help of a yak or horse, the cost will be per person per day approx US$ 60 for Yak and USD 100 for horse payable directly to the yak herder. All Indian pilgrims are advised to hire one. You have to understand that the yaks are not domesticated but are meant to carry luggage
  • Payment Policy:

  • 60 days prior to tour departure date, 30% of the total cost should reach Tirupati Holidays Tours & Travels Pvt. Ltd account by telex transfer with passport of client.
  • And full payment should be making before departure to Manasarovar & Mt. Kailash Yatra.
  • Tour Cancellation policy:
    All notice of cancellation must be sent to our office in written. Verbal cancellations will not be entertained. The cancellation policy as following.

  • 20 days before trip departure 10% of total trip cost.
  • 15 days before trip departure 50% of total trip cost.
  • 07 days before trip departure 100% of total trip cost or no-show.

    Clothing:
    We highly recommend one down jacket, one warm thick pull-over, one thin pull-over, two warm pants, two light loose cotton pants, warm trousers & woolen shirts (cotton will also do) one warm windproof cotton jacket, four cotton sleeve T-shirts, two thermal under pants, warm sweaters, two thermal vests, one rain coat or windbreakers, one pair comfortable shoes & light rubber sandal, light leather boots in case of snow, six pairs of warm woolen socks, one light cotton or silk scarf, one large cotton or silk scarf, one pair of warm gloves, soft paper tissues, monkey cap & scarf/dust mask to protect your eyes & nose from dust, two towels, Wind - Rain Jacket, sun hat, sun glass, sun cream, chap stick.

    Bring with you:
    Snacks along the way. Chocolates, dry fruit, toffees, glucose; 'namkeen' etc. Strong water bottle & water purifying tablets. Personal medical kit and Diamox tablet (for high altitude). Sun glasses (to protect your eyes from UV, which is especially strong in high altitudes). Sun block or sun screen lotion, wet tissues (Fresh-ones are excellent to wipe off the dust), clothes-line/clips, needle & thread, deo-spray (handy for smelly boots/feet and for a round of spray in the toilet tent!), toilet paper, torch & spare batteries, daypack (small shoulder bag), Camera & films, Binocular.

    Health:
    This is one of the toughest high altitude road journeys on earth. You Must be physically fit - no two ways about that. Generally patients with asthma & heart problems have a problem acclimatizing to high altitudes. In your interests it is essential you should be examined by your doctor to know about your health condition and your ability to cope up with the rigors of high altitude travel for days in 'no road' conditions, extreme cold, dust, trekking to an altitude of 19500ft during the Parikrama, etc.

    Altitude Sickness :
    Altitude Sickness is an environment related condition that can effect anyone who ascents too rapidly to high elevations without acclimatizing properly. Clients may have required oxygen cylinders with mask which should bring by the clients on their own as these items are not easily available in Kathmandu . Since clients should travel. In high altitude, they need to submit the certificate, which indicates that he/she can travel in high altitude. These certificates should be provided by the medical doctor. This required specially for the Indian nationals. Tourists need to drink liquor as much as possible during the journey and must avoid the alcohol.

    Currency:
    The unit of Chinese currency is Yuan. USD 1 = 7.9 Yuan. 1 Yuan = INR 5-6 approx; Money can exchange at Bank of China at Zhangmu or from the locals at Zhangmu or Kodari. Exchange all your remaining Yuan at the end of the trip at Zhangmu itself before re-entering Nepal .

    Risks & Liability:
    We and our its associates will put every effort to make your journey smooth and pleasant. However, all the tours in Tibet are conduct strictly under the rules & regulation of Tibet Tourism Bureau (TTB). Therefore, we and its counterpart shall not be responsible for any change and alteration in the program due to unavoidable circumstances such as landslide, road blockage, flood, snow, political unrest, and cancellation of flight, delay arrival, sickness or accidents. Any extra cost incurred thereof shall be borne by the clients on the spot.
