The Bardia National park is ilderness and relatively unexplored deep jungles of far western Nepal where wildlife is more that abundant. Remote, Challenging and offering unique adventure for wildlife and nature lovers.
 
The Bardia National Park was initially a Royal hunting reserve. It was in 1976 that it was gazetted as Karnali Wildlife Reserve with an area of only 368 Sq. Km. in 1982, It was renamed as Bardia Wildlife Reserve Which also included the Babai River Valley. It was only in 1988 that granted a status of National Park in order to preserve the dwindling species of rare ecosystem, including flora and fauna, particularly the tiger and its other prey species. This park is the largest and most undisturbed wilderness area in the terai providing excellent habitat for most of the endangered species of wildlife and birds. The park now covers an area of 968 Sq. Km. It was only 1994 basic facilities existed for independent visitors. It has extensive and varied wildlife-all endangered rhinoceros, Wild elephants, The Royal Bengal Tiger, Swamp deer, Black buck, Gharial Crocodile, Gangetic Dolphins.
 
More than thirty different mammals, over 400 species of birds, many snakes, lizards , and fish have been sighted and recorded in the park's forest, grassland and river habitats.
 
Among these include, Langur monkey, common leopard, Jungle cat, fishing cat, large and small Indian civets, mongoose, hyena, wild dog, jackal. sloth bear, otter, porcupine, bandicoots, blue bull (Nilgai), Sambar deer, hog deer, barking dear, wild boar etc. This park is one of the best places to view the most magnificent of cats, The Royal Bengal Tigers. The chance are almost 80% depending on season.

Accessibility:
By Air: If you choose to fly, there is daily flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, which is the nearest airport from the Bardia National Park. After flying for about an hour from Kathmandu, you will be received by our naturalist at the Nepalgunj Airport. You will be taken to Bardia National Park by a Private Jeep which is 90 km. If you are in a group there are charter flight from Pokhara, Bharatpur (Bardia), Biratnagar (Koshi Tappu), Bhairawa (Lumbini).

By Raft: If you are rafting in Karnali River your ending point is at Chisapani Bridge where you will be greeted by our naturalist, who will take you to the Park by Private Jeep which is 31 km.

By Road: You can reserve a private transport and reach till the park or alternatively take overnight or day buses plying on the route of Dhangadi, Mahendranagar or Karnali. Drop at Ambassa (the gate way of Bardia National Park), which takes 15 hrs driving from Kathmandu, 11hrs driving from Pokhara and Bardia. You will greet by our naturalist at Ambassa stop who will take you into the resort which is 15KM by Private Jeep.
Accommodation:

We suggest a minimum of three nights at Bardia in order to appreciate what Bardia as a destination has to offer, in terms of a unique wildlife experience. More than three nights will make you fully appreciate and participate in most of the activities and view more wildlife game.

Day 01:
On your arrival at Nepalgunj Airport or Amebas Stand our staff will receive you. You will then be transferred to our Lodge where you will be offered refreshment and be given a briefing on our lodge and its facilities. After being given your programs for the day your room will then be allocated to you.

15:00: Village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the life and life style of the Tharus.
20:00: Dinner

Day 02:
06:00: Wake up call
06:00: Breakfast
07:00: Elephant ride (for an hour), an excellent opportunity to get the lifetime experience on the elephant back and to see the wildlife of the Park. Visit to visitor Center, Crocodile Breeding Center and Tharu Cultural Museum.
13:00: Lunch
15:00: Jungle Walk. An excellent opportunity to see the wild animals, small mammals, birds and waits in the tower (Machan) to have the wild sightseeing, accompanied by our experienced naturalists and wild life tracker. Excellent photographic opportunities are plentiful.
20:00: Dinner

06:00: Wake up call
06:30: Breakfast
07:00: Bird Watching. An excellent opportunity to see a great many species of birds found in Bardia. Visit to Karnali River for Dolphin sightseeing.
