Overview

Dhulikhel is ancient town of Nepal, famous place for sunset & sunrise view over the Himalays.   It is situated 30 km. east of Kathmandu on side of Araniko highway (Kathmandu-Kodari Highway). This trip comprises Kathmandu Valley and Dhulikehl, which is an old Newars town beyond the eastern rim of Kathmandu. The the Panoramic Himalayas’ view of the ranges and the ride through the ethnic towns is part of the attraction. The Newar town of Dhulikhel offer a traditional atmosphere along with spectaculars views. Once an important link in the ancient trade route to Tibet, Dhulikhel has glorious part, which can be seen in the lovely building and intricate wood carvings in the shop-lined  streets and temples. Pleasant climate (even during summer ) is big attraction at Dhulikhel. From the main town, a short visit to Namobuddha, with the stupa and Buddhist Monastery, is highly recommended.
